Architectural Partners will substantially improve the
visual and functional “built” environment through
creative and cost-effective architectural design; efficient, high-quality
engineering integration and coordination; pedestrian-oriented
planning and community development; environmental consciousness;
strategic building ownership and development; entrepreneurial
arbitrage; supportive and progressive employment policies and
work environment; and adaptive use of historic and older buildings. |
| Private,
independent schools and colleges have a unique set of planning
and design needs, which are entirely different from public schools
and state-owned universities. Craddock-Cunningham Architectural
Partners will help to significantly improve these institutions
as learning environments for students, as working environments
for teachers and administrators, and as respected and attractive
community institutions in the localities they are located. |
| Our
culture since World War II has seen a dramatic exodus from traditional
neighborhood centers and downtowns to suburbia. This new development
has often lacked any regional design references, and has rapidly
eliminated perimeter green belts. Buildings left behind in the
inner city are often stronger, and more attractive with better
access to existing utilities, parking, and roadways. When developed,
these existing structures cause far less environmental impact
than new construction. Craddock-Cunningham will
be a leading design firm in Virginia in bringing new life to old
and historic buildings, and in renewing downtowns and traditional
neighborhoods. |
| One’s
home or apartment is their most personal and intimate connection
to the world of design and construction. Craddock-Cunningham
Architectural Partners will manage and develop each residential
project to reflect the highest aspiration of our clients, whether
a basement renovation or multi-million dollar, single-family home. |
| Nowhere does the value of our creativity show up more succinctly than in our retail office and other commercial planning and design. Whether the project is a restaurant, grocery store or an office building, the image of the property and the comfort of the users goes straight to the bottom line. |
| We all take tremendous pride in the public building that represent the communities where we live and work. Libraries, courthouses, museums and service headquarters all reflect the quality of the government to which they serve. At CCAP we “adopt” the pride and responsibility of designing municipal facilities that are functional, cost effective and attractive. |
| Interpretation
of the “congregative spirit” of one’s church
or synagogue is one of the most challenging and enlightening endeavors
available to designers. At Craddock-Cunningham Architectural
Partners, we will carefully synthesize the varied opinions,
emotions, and deeply-held beliefs within a church into one consensus
design. We will design and manage the construction of facilities
that uphold each congregation’s highest spiritual expectations
in a functional, efficient, and attractive development. |
