On February 2, 2009, the Bluffwalk Center will be presented with the "Outstanding Adaptive Use Award... for a preservation effort that has demonstrated creativity and sensitivity in adapting a structure designed for one use into an appropriate alternative use, thus reinventing the use of a space while at the same time preserving the architectural integrity of the original architect or builder."

The developers, Hal C. Craddock, AIA, Lynn A. Cunningham, AIA, and Cliff L. Harrison will in Richmond at the Old City Hall to receive the award. Hal Craddock, Lynn Cunningham, and Mark Smith with Craddock Cunningham Architectural Partners provided all architectural design services and Cliff Harrison provided construction management services.
