Jim Vernon joined Craddock-Cunningham Architectural Partners in 1985. During his tenure with the firm, he has been responsible for design development and project management for a wide range of projects. Jim has had extensive experience providing architectural services for churches and worship facilities, master planned mixed-use developments, public and private school facilities, multi-family and special needs housing, criminal justice facilities, and renovation and rehabilitation work for tax credits. His ability to quickly delineate design ideas has made him a valuable asset for both the firm and the community. He is a regular participant in design charrettes and is instrumental in establishing realistic design concepts.
Jim emphasizes systematic organization and careful communication in project management. He is adept at working with sole responsibility or within a team structure. As Project Manager, for a single project, he developed the design and coordinated services with over ten separate interests, including multiple owners, tenants, local jurisdictions, and three engineering firms.
As a Designer and specifier, Jim is interested in promoting environmentally responsive design. He has enrolled Craddock-Cunningham Architectural Partners as a member in the U.S. Green Building Council, and manages the company’s “Green” Building Design & Materials Library.
